It’s No Surprise The U.S. Navy Will Scrap the Scorched USS Bonhomme Richard—It’s Terrible At Repairing Ships

It’s not clear the service could have repaired the fire-damaged assault ship at reasonable cost and on a reasonable schedule, even if doing so were a top priority. There just isn’t enough space and manpower at the yards that build America’s warships.
