The Saudi Arabia PIF-backed takeover of Newcastle United has seemingly collapsed, and while Newcastle will eventually find another buyer, that buyer won’t be anywhere near the same level financially. Even those on the UK Rich List are not rich enough by Premier League owners’ standards.
